HIST1302 PART 5: Online Self-Taught Section Covering Events of January 20, 1981 through January 20, 2009
Due to the fact that the number of in-class hours (3 per week) provided to teach HIST1302 have not increased since the early 1970s and due also to the fact that several decades of "new" history have been made since that time, I have found it necessary to introduce a self-taught section in order to acquaint my students with the most recent events in American history.
IMPORTANT!!!
This section entails a fair amount of outside class study time. Do not make the mistake of leaving it until the last moment to complete! Students should start working on this during the first month of the semester in order to complete it by the end of the semester!
Although all assignments as well as the exam associated with this section may be completed at any time during the semester, all items MUST be completed no later than the Friday prior to Final Exam Week .
