COAT PAPER ASSIGNMENT
for FALL 2020 COLLIN COLLEGE HIST1302 STUDENTS

COAT = CORE OBJECTIVES ASSESSMENT TEAM

During the Fall 2020 semester at Collin College, all HIST1302 students are required to complete a COAT Paper Assignment. This assignment, which connects to marketable skills and the Student Learning Outcomes, is meant to meaure your competency at core skills. It is mandated by the State. I will not be assessing this assignment. That is done by COAT. Consequently, neither you nor I will ever know how well you performed. I will, however, give you a participation grade for completing the assignment, the deadline for which can be found in the course calendar attached to your syllabus.

On or before the assignment deadline, you must submit your paper to me as a MS Word document by attaching it to an email.

Here are Complete Instructions for the COAT Paper Assignment.

Here is The American YAWP Textbook, vol. 2, referred to in the instructions, which directs you to read Section VI of Chapter 17.
This section spans pages 44 through 47.

And if you wish to see it, here is the Social Responsibility Informational Rubric
